Who we are
PRISM is a diverse crowd of open and affirming CU students seeking a progressive path of faith.
Our most valued beliefs are our common beliefs in the value of our differences, the importance of harmony, the power of love, and the need for spirituality in our lives.
Our way of Spirit encourages questions about life and faith, knowing that questions are essential to human discovery and personal growth.
Our programs like Coming Out Faithful, Fall retreat and our inclusive worship community feed the soul and foster growth of understanding and heart.
Our understandings of Spirit emphasize that giving and serving are a key to spiritual growth and social justice. Our relationship to others is the best measure of our true spiritual life and maturity.
We have students who identify as Christian, Unitarian Universalist (interfaith), and some who are just searching and glad to be in community. We are gay and straight, undergrads and graduate students, grew up in the church and not, from Colorado and not.
But we are all seeking the progressive, inclusive way of Spirit.

Open and Affirming

Programs
Tuesday Night Gathering
This is a very informal gathering that starts at around 6:00pm with a free home cocked dinner and a program follows. The program takes a range of forms, from topical discussion or activism projects to UU and Christian worship. Most of our worship is in a contemplative style and we close at 8:00pm with a closing circle. Those who have time to stay and socialize are welcome to visit after closing.
Coming Out Faithful
A monthly interfaith forum for discussing issues of spirituality and sexuality. It is a safe space to talk and be heard. Held on the 3rd Tuesday of every moth at the PRISM house. Supported by the Open Door Fund of Boulder County. Read more...
Unitarian Universalist Group
Our UU students meet periodically to focus on personal growth and social issues from a UU point of view. Read more...
Fall Retreat
In the Fall we get away to the mountains to get to know each other, have fun, and learn a little more about Spirit, self, neighbor and world.
Annual Worktrip
Every spring semester, we serve others and learn together about faith, compassion in action, and social justice issues around those in need.
